Vassil I. Elitzin, Ph.D. is the founder and president of Tetravalent LLC, a US-based CMC consulting firm serving pharmaceutical and biotech clients worldwide. Dr. Elitzin has been a leader in the pharmaceutical industry for over 20 years, with particular expertise in technical, quality and regulatory aspect of Chemistry, Manufacturing and Controls (CMC). He has worked on over 50 programs through all phases of development and commercialization, from pre-IND through market registration and various post-approval activities. He previously served as Director of CMC and Chief Chemist at LI-COR Biosciences until 2022, and worked in various API process development and CMC roles at GlaxoSmithKline from 2004-2015. Dr. Elitzin received his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Stanford University in 2004, studying under Prof. Paul Wender.
